Insight Tech A4 Driver
Adams is breaking into the driver market in a big way, after already being one of the industry leaders in hybrids, irons, and fairway woods. The Adams Insight Tech a4 debuted with a vengeance on the PGA Tour in 2008 under its prototype nickname, the 9015D, and Richard S. Johnson used it in winning the U.S. Bank Championship that July. It’s also played on tour by Rory Sabbatini and Bernhard Langer, among others, because the club combines distance and shotmaking ability that can satisfy even the best golfer.
The company knows its market demands distance from its bigger clubs, and it’s consulted with the Long Driver’s Association of America in an effort to get a driver that moves the ball further down the fairway. To that end, the Adams Insight Tech a4 has a 15-gram external weight pad that lowers the clubhead’s center of gravity to ensure low spin and optimal launch conditions.
The club both looks and sounds like a classic, with the Matrix Ozik shaft leading to the pear-shaped head with 460ccs of launch surface to play with. It is available in 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degree lofts.
In a quick Insight Tech A4 driver review it is noted that the versatility of the club makes it a standout.
