Cleveland HiBore XLS Draw Driver Review
A trend in the driver market is to produce clubs for players who are constantly frustrated off the tee by slices. The Cleveland HiBore XLS Draw Driver is one such device that uses technology and design to help alleviate one of the sport’s most common swing problems.
The HiBore XLS Draw Driver takes the design elements of the standard XLS model, like the 460cc club head and bigger hitting surface that leads to a MOI 13 percent greater than earlier models. It has added stability to generate the ball speed needed for longer drives, and the huge impact zone that smooths out the rough edges from mishits.
In addition, the club has several design tweaks that mitigate existing swing issues. The HiBore XLS Draw has a hosel that is offset slightly and internal weighting in the heel of the club to help ensure a proper address, and the club face itself is closed by three degrees to promote a draw flight. That should keep golfers accustomed to hitting houses and trees on the right side of the fairway from having to buy a new sleeve of balls at the turn. It comes in 9. 10.5, and 12 degree lofts, with a Fujikura staff standard.
