Nike SQ Dymo 2 Review
Nike’s latest driver, the SQ Dymo 2, is a square-headed oversized stick that promises the opportunity to get the distance and launch angles that everyone wants to see off the tee.
A sibling of the Nike SQ Dymo, the SQ Dymo 2 features the company’s PowerBow weighting designed to give each available loft the center of gravity it needs to produce the desired ball flight. Rather than standardizing the discretionary weight, Nike places it in different positions depending on the loft of the club, which helps maximize distance and achieve the proper trajectory.
In addition, and in contrast to the regular model, the Nike SQ Dymo 2 has a square-shaped clubhead with the weight concentrated more in the corners. That is intended to increase its stability and forgiveness. It is engineered to produce optimal launch and spin conditions, and each loft has a MOI and center of gravity tailored to get the ball in the air and down the fairway.
The square clubhead of the Nike SQ Dymo 2 is also more forgiving, keeping shots flying straighter as they go father. It’s hard to expect anything less from the series of clubs endorsed by Tiger Woods, and it’s helped Nike win a strong presence on the professional tours.
