Ping G10 Driver Best Price & Review
The Ping G10 builds on the successful G5 model to do everything its predecessor did well, only better.
Using a Cray supercomputer to conduct a detailed analysis, the Ping engineers tweaked the structure of the club’s crown, sole and face in the 460cc clubhead.
The crown is both deep and angled, and combined with the taller face results in a large hitting surface that transfers more energy to the ball.
A higher MOI ensures both increased ball speed and maximum forgiveness and consistency. Moreover, the Ping G10’s discretionary weight has been repositioned to produce a lower center of gravity that reduces spin and encourages a higher launch.
As a result, the Ping G10 produces greater ball speed and lower spin rates than earlier Ping models, with 5-10 yards extra carry and a shallow landing angle that increases roll distance. Anyone familiar with the Ping drivers should be comfortable right away with the newer model, with the biggest change being the adjustment to hitting their second shots with a lower iron because of the extra distance off the tee.
The club is available in 7.5, 9, 10.5, 12, and 13.5 degree lofts, with a suggested price of $350.
