Titleist 905S Driver Review
For those who aren’t comfortable with the oversize clubheads on many modern drivers, the Titleist 905S offers a stick that has 400cc of space instead of the more typical 460cc. The smaller head, however, doesn’t mean settling for less performance off the tee.
The club increases the launch angle and reduces the spin as compared to previous Titleist drivers, and the resulting ball speed is higher than that of the Titleist 983 series that preceded it. It also has a lower center of gravity, which its designers generated by moving weight from the hosel to the clubhead via internal weight pads.

That center of gravity in the Titleist 905S is closer to the face than it is in its sister club, the Titleist 905T, and produces a flatter initial launch as a result. It makes it a good choice for players with high swing speeds or those who otherwise generate a lot of ball spin at impact, since this driver reduces that spin to a more optimal level.
The Titleist 905S retails for $399, and comes in 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degree lofts.
