Titleist 909 D2 Review
Titleist is one of the most popular clubs for PGA Tour players to use, and the Titleist 909 D2 is one of its signature drivers. Turn on the TV for any PGA Tour even, and Robert Karlsson, Adam Scott, Nick Watney, Ben Curtis, Ben Crane and Zach Johnson are among the golfers using it off the tee.
The Titleist 909 D2 driver has the classic company look. The clubhead is the traditional pear-shape, though with much better technology that that found when the shape first became popular generations ago. The crown is both light and powerful, and the discretionary weight is lower and deeper in the clubhead. That leads to a higher launch angle and lower spin, and the result is a long drive that’s also under control enough to stay in the fairway. That’s also augmented by the Diamana Blue 65 shaft, a high-technology solution that bends without breaking and keeps balls flying high and far.

Feeling the need for speed? The Titleist 909 D2 has an internally milled face insert that maximizes ball speed across the face of the club and keeps the ball flying farther.
There’s a reason the pros love this club so much. A few swings at the driving range is all it takes to see why.
